Ingredients: 1 cup Bella Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour Mix 2 TBL sugar 1 ½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp nutmeg ½ to 1 tsp ground cinnamon (to taste) ½ tsp salt 1 egg – lightly beaten, or egg equivalent ½ cup plus 1TBL milk, coconut milk or milk alternative 1 tsp fresh lemon juice (optional) 1 ½ cup diced apples (such as Fuji or Cameo) Confectioner’s sugar for dusting

Directions: • Using an 1/8 c ice cream scoop or similar size serving spoon, drop mixture into hot oil. Deposit six to eight at a time to keep oil at constant temperature. Roll fritters over when they have lightly browned at the edges. Roll over a couple of times more to brown evenly, about 5 minutes. Finished color should be dark amber. Remove with a slotted spoon to a metal cooling rack. Shake confectioner’s sugar over the fritters while still warm. Chef's Notes: |
